Punk trio The Lungs have a mantra: “Make it visceral”. Within a couple of seconds on ‘Mind Reaper’ that mantra has been met as you’re pulled in immediately.
As the trio take you on a powerfully energetic journey it’s impossible not to wonder how the three of them conjure a sound bigger than almost any band with even double the amount of members, all whilst sounding as tight as the slowest of classic rock bands.
This is a band that have worked hard to find what they’re good at and have now perfected it. This is the sort of song you want to hear in a sweaty club. As soon as we’re allowed to.
