2016 saw the beginning of life for Heavy Hearts, an Ontario based quintet that have already tasted shows across North America, Europe and the UK. With a new album due to drop in 2020 it’s time to reacquaint yourself with the band.
The band’s sound touches on several different styles with a softer, controlled intro kicking the song off before a more desperate tone takes over for the choruses. ‘Vexed’ is one of those songs where it almost doesn’t feel like a band, but more a living organism behind the vocals.
Heavy Hearts have refined their sound to a tee now without sounding boring or predictable. This is a band that know what they’re doing and they’re doing it well.
