Exciting news! With next week comes an announcement from one of the UKs very best festivals. The ArcTanGent lineup already features the likes of Ihsahn, Opeth, Tesseract and This Will Destroy You but it seems like things are only going to get better. I mean, we don’t actually know who else is on the lineup yet, but it’s ArcTanGent and the festival is always brilliant. That being said, check back here early Wednesday morning and we’ll be bringing you all the news about the announcement and who to check out in the run up.
Our predictions for the remaining ArcTanGent headliner slots are….
And You Will Know Us By the Trail Of Dead – This is a band that embody the genre hopping nature of ArcTanGent and their new album X: The Godless Void and Other Stories is a brilliant start to the year so everything seems to allign for a great headline slot for them.
The World Is A Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid To Die – Perhaps we’re just picking the bands with super long names, or perhaps we’re just dreaming of this booking happening. Either way, they’d smash a slot headlining the festival. Describing them as somewhere between American Football and Godspeed! you Black Emperor means that in all their bizarreness, they absolutely fit.
God knows who else, can we get Mclusky somewhere though?
And while we’re writing a wishlist: maybeshewill, Agent Fresco, Caspian and Holy Fawn please ArcTanGent gods!
The festival isn’t increasing in capacity this year and will definitely sell out, so if you like what you see pick up a ticket as soon as you can. It’s the best place in the world to hear a combination of noise, post, hardcore, black, math, bonkers rock and metal.
