Finding that happy spot between huge, powerful vocals and not overpowering a track can be a bit of a tightrope walk at times, The Last Martyr have absolutely nailed in here though. ‘Like A Ghost’ is a self-proclaimed “more polished” version of the band and a heavier one at that, yet all that pours out of the speakers when the track explodes is pure energy.
This track is metalcore to a degree, but it feels like so much more than that. There’s elements of what makes Crossfaith so popular, combined with much more of a focus on the big vocals. It feels like a step forward in the metalcore arena.
