Bloodstock have added a further five bands to next year’s festival.
Grand Magus will join co-patriots and main stage headliners Sabaton in flying the Swedish flag as they will headline the Sophie Lancaster stage on the same day. Frontman & guitarist JB commands us; “Dear Bloodstockers! The Magus returns to the UK to lay waste to your eardrums with metal! We are honoured to be headlining the Sophie Lancaster stage and we will put our hearts and souls into making it something special for all of you. Can’t wait to see you all!”

Bay-Area thrash legends, Death Angel, will return to Bloodstock for the first time since 2013, with Mark Osegueda promising “a pure thrash set fuelled by raw human aggression and passion!”
Joining them on the main stage are Metal Church. The heavy metal trailblazers will be releasing their 12th album in December which will be the second album with former frontman Mike Howe after he returned in 2016.
Ross Friedman, famed for being a founder member of Manowar and The Dictators will bring his band Ross The Boss to Bloodstock, fittingly performing on the Ronnie James Dio stage, since it was Dio himself who introduced Friedman to Manowar bandmate Joey DeMaio.
Rounding off the announcement are Catton Park favourites, Evil Scarecrow, love them or loathe them, their set will undoubtedly be a spectacle for all to behold come August.
These five join the previously announced Friday night headliner, Sabaton, Sunday’s bill toppers Scorpions, together with Children of Bodom, Code Orange, Soilwork, Cradle of Filth, Skeletonwitch, Dee Snider, Queensryche, Eluveitie, Rotting Christ and Hypocrisy on the Catton Park stages next August. Stay tuned for more bands to be announced soon!
