In 2026 we are striving to support even more UK Underground bands! So what can you do to help the grassroots music scene?

🎸 Go to local gigs – Regular attendance keeps venues alive and shows promoters there’s demand.

💿 Buy merch directly from artists – T-shirts, vinyl, and CDs often provide more income than streaming.

👍 Follow and share artists on social media – Likes, shares, and comments help artists reach new listeners organically.

🎫 Buy tickets in advance – Early sales reduce risk for promoters and venues, making shows more viable.

🎶 Stream music intentionally – Add local artists to playlists and listen regularly to boost their visibility.

🍻 Support independent venues – Buy drinks, food, or memberships to help venues stay financially stable.

👭 Bring friends to shows – Introducing new people grows audiences and builds community around the scene.

📩 Join mailing lists or fan clubs – This helps artists communicate directly and sell music or tickets without middlemen.

🙋 Volunteer or help promote gigs – Flyering, door help, or online promotion can make a big difference.

💰 Donate or support grassroots music charities and funds – Many organisations directly support emerging artists and venues.

Well 2025 has been a hell of a year and our little

Well 2025 has been a hell of a year and our little team here at Hardbeat has been pretty busy!

We've covered loads of festivals over the summer from @takedownfestival to @2000trees_festival, chatted with a whole bunch of bands including @wearetheprettywild, @dreamnailsband, and @lakemalice to name a few.

Covered over 40 gigs from @aseverythingunfolds to @tothegraveau, taken an insane amount of steps during the festival period, and spoke to so many people at @downloadfest that our microphone decided to call it a day.

We are already buzzing for next year so bring on 2026!
