Post-metal rockers Metador have released their latest single ‘The House Always Wins’, ahead of their upcoming album Above, Below and So set for release 27th February.
The band comment on the track, “‘The House Always Wins’ is the first Matador track to feature any kind of vocals, which is a big progression for us. Our earlier material was instrumental because, as the primary songwriter, I didn’t feel I had anything important enough to say lyrically. But with this track, the words came naturally after the death of a close friend. Writing and recording them was cathartic, and it set the tone for the rest of the album, opening the door for the words that followed.”
