New Music Roundup: 1st May 2025

DEAR TASH – FATAL

Release Date: 6th March 2025

A delightful combination of grunge infused with a tinge of Brit Pop sees Dear Tash continue to build on their unique catalogue of track. ‘FATAL’ was their second track of 2025 and one that will appeal to vast audiences through the catchy, almost Stone Roses-esque, percussion plus Tash’s addictive vocals. The potential is off the charts here.

BLEACH – The More She Lives

Release Date: 28th February 2025

The solo release to date for North East rockers BLEACH looks set to catapult them right to the top of their local scene. ‘The More She Lives’ sits across alt-rock and shoegaze to a degree, driven by a raw riff that undercuts the softness of the vocals. Yes, you can feel that this is a band still finding their feet, but there’s little doubting that ‘The More She Lives’ is a track that will see them off in good stead.

Enemy Within – Trying To Survive

Release Date: 28th February 2025

Enemy Within aren’t messing about. Just five songs into their career and tracks like ‘Trying To Survive’ are bring put out. The Brighton modern hard rock outfit are doing what bands have done for decades, combining genres to bring influences together and ‘Trying To Survive’ is an exciting blend of pretty much everything that has come out in the past two and a half decades. You’ll be singing along to this in no time.

Decoy x Marauder – Something Else Entirely

Release Date: 4th April 2025

Powerful metallic hardcore from the States sees ‘Something Else Entirely’ do its best impression of a wrecking ball. Decoy are all about energy and just over three minutes of ‘Something Else Entirely’ will have you feeling like you’ve spent half an hour at the gym. This is a band well and truly on the up and the sheer power of their latest single will see that continue.

Vordemann – Delirium Tremors

Release Date: 7th March 2025

Taken from their debut EP, Feeding On Flowers/, ‘Delirium Tremors’ is one of those songs that just feels a little more than ‘just a song’. There’s a journey that takes place, beginning with a more techy, riffy opening couple of minutes, through to the repeated outro that builds to a close. It’s easy to drift off with this song as the backing to a vivid daydream. A fun debut from a promising young band.
