Download Festival 2025 (or as it is being branded DLXXII) has dropped over 90 bands as they continue pushing forward with their ‘Download 2.0’ lineups.
With that many bands being dropped at once, and everyone having an opinion on who should or shouldn’t play, it was always going to be a controversial one, but when you get the frequently requested legends of punk-rock in Green Day as the flagship headliner, all else pales into insignificance. Add in the fact they’ve bumped up nu-metal royalty in Korn from their usual sub-headline spot as well as given Sleep Token a boost to that top spot and it just proves that Download are keeping true to looking to the future as much as recognising the more established acts.
It wasn’t just those three to be announced though with huge logo bands announced too. The likes of Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, Spiritbox and Sex Pistols feat. Frank Carter will get the attention but some of the best in growing British bands are there too. Some of the highlights for us are:
