It felt like Slam Dunk was going to need something super special for 2025. With the competition both at home and abroad setting out strong lineups it was going to take a statement for Slam Dunk to continue to rebuild their reputation.
Oh my how we needn’t have worried though as the mighty A Day To Remember are due to adorn the top of the bill at what is certainly going to be the UK’s favourite pop-punk/emo crossover festival once again.
As usual though, for us it’s when you past those big names that you see the true beauty of the lineup. Sure we’re excited for Neck Deep, New Found Glory and The Used (fingers crossed on this one, eh?). Obviously Having house band Zebrahead back is wonderful, as is the (rather swift) reformation of As It Is. There are so many gems outside of these though.
With a new album out in a few weeks, Delilah Bon will be bringing the feminism-infused punky hip-hop to the festival for the first time.
Another band that are looking to really breakout are Mouth Culture and their indie punk vibes. The band have had a huge 18 months and will be looking to capitalise on that.
Bristol-based grungey shoegazers Split Chain are an early contender for band of the weekend as they continue their meteoric rise.
When you take what has already been announced and add in about another forty bands across the day, it looks like Slam Dunk is back and ready to kick the summer festival party off once again. Tickets go on sale on Friday 6th September 2024 @ 10am. Get them here while you can!
