Rob: Earth-One – Goin’ Crazy

Whilst it isn’t a brand new track, it’s still more than worth sharing the latest single from American alt-rock-rap artist Rob: Earth-One. Whilst we don’t dip into rap all to often, it is a cousin of the rock and metal scene, constantly fighting against the usual lazy stigma that surrounds the respective scenes. Combining the two has worked perfectly since Anthrax worked with Public Enemy and ‘Goin’ Crazy’ continues this trend, though in a much more relaxed fashion.
The catchiness of the intro with its subtle strings and dreamlike vibe continues as it picks up drums that whilst simple are incredibly effective at getting your tapping along. Add onto this raw and emotional lyrics and accessible vocals, this is one of those songs that could work as an intro from either scene into the other. With more to come from this track and beyond, Rob: Earth-One is an artist primed for the big time.
