For a first time fronting a band, ‘Just Fine’ is a bit of an understatement when analysing the performance of Slightest Clue’s Hannah. It would be a bit of an insult to call the transition ‘effortless’ as it is clear from said performance that a lot goes into this debut fronting the band.
The track as a whole is catchy and pulls from plenty of different styles, indie being the primary but nailing down the rest would likely take longer to do than it takes to listen to the track. On the face of it, ‘Just Fine’ is fun, funky, and almost impossible to stay still while listening to. Behind that though, this is a song about speaking your mind when you need to and I think we could all do with a reminder to speak up every now and then.
This track may be a little older than we normally feature here, but we’re just glad to have got the opportunity to pick up something that we regrettably missed in 2022.
