The hard rock sounds of the early 2000s are given a fresh edge with Tense Machine’s second single release, ‘Best Mistake’. Taken from their debut album Echoes, the Toronto natives provide everything required to make someone sit up and take notice – and much, much more.
The constant rise and fall between full-on hand-banging power riffs and the more withdrawn, chilled verses provide space for a vocal performance that matches the power of the music without becoming overbearing.
It’s a rarity for such a new band to sound like the finished product straight away, however Tense Machine clearly have the potential to climb to the very top of the hard rock genre.
