Becoming well known for their high energy, abrasive and chaotic live shows, Wargasm are on their way to being the UK’s ultimate marmite band. They’ve come a long way since the Download Festival Pilot in 2021, with a debut album now released and having played just about everywhere.
The latter point is a bone of contention for some, but it’s just nice to see a British artist with female representation coming through to top bills. Plus, they’ve got songs with the likes of Limp Bizkit, Enter Shikari and a collaboration with Scene Queen is on the way. This one is going to get us all sufficiently sweaty!
Wargasm head up the Friday with the likes of Graphic Nature, Haggard Cat, Spitting Teeth and Saint Agnes and as if that wasn’t enough, the Saturday is topped by goths-cum-vampires Creeper as they continue their takeover of the UK following the release of latest album Sanguivore. Joined by Lake Malice, Alt Blk Era, Pengshui and Mouh Culture amongst others, this could be the highlight of a packed year for UK festivals.
