Indie-rock-pop-punk, or whatever the hell you want to call it, is front and centre with ‘I’ll Seduce God to Get into Heaven’ from Hollywood based Madeline Rosene, a track that feels like if you found out Taylor Momsen wrote it no one would be particularly surprised.
Somehow already blasting on towards a decade of releasing music (sorry Madeline!), ‘I’ll Seduce God to Get into Heaven’ is the first release of 2026 and feels like the sort of song to catapult a career – though nothing is really ever quite that easy anymore.
While the intro to the track starts off feeling a little 80s pop, generating a few odd glances to the speaker, what follows is unmistakably catchy with an underbelly of pure grit. The combination of dirty guitars mixed with with even dirtier implications is engaging throughout and the rawness of the cleans provides a highlight. A little ‘heavier’ in places than some of her other tracks, ‘I’ll Seduce God to Get into Heaven’ has a ‘coming of age’ feel to it.
