Live Review: Wargasm @ Outernet, London – 29/09/25

Wargasm are fresh off a almost three month long run in the US, and are embarking on their largest London headliner to date, advertised as a ‘no phone’ event, It’s almost sold-out, and they’ve booked the BRAT store next door for a pre-show pop up, including exclusive merch and meeting Sam Matlock and Milkie Way.

First to take this large stage is a DJ set from artist Filthy Pig, and what a great way to kick off the night. The room is already full, and mosh pits breaking out in the 1,500 cap room to the heavy beats. Plus a feature from alternative artist Cassyette within the set, pushing the set to another level, it was the best way to get the crowd in the room for the night ahead.

Next up for the evening is UK based rockers Tropic Gold, playing songs from their most recent EP SICK TO DEATH OF EVERYTHING.

Their set opens with ‘THE ANGELS ARE GONE’, before bringing on nu-goth artist Harpy to feature on a brand-new track mid-way through the set. The crowd lap every moment up as the set continues. Vocalist Jacob Parris beams on stage as he sings and screams through the set.

They finish their energy driven set with fan favourite ‘Adrenaline’, marking their place on a large stage where they belong.

It’s time for our headliners of the night, Wargasm, and it’s their largest London headliner to date. Set on a stage with a large LED screen as a backdrop, a pop-up next door with exclusive items and a no phones disclaimer straight after three months in the US, this is prepped to be a big night for the band.

The band open their set with one of their most recently released singles ‘Vigilantes’, before diving into a set flooded with tracks released over the last few years, including ‘Pyro Pyro’, ‘Bad Seed’, ‘Salma Hayek’, plus their most recent single ‘Small World Syndrome’.

Having this gig as a ‘no phones’ event, with stickers saying ‘You wouldn’t steal a gig’ written on them, it’s enlightening and moving to see an almost sold-out show with no phones in the air. Just pure energy and a crowd enjoying every moment without capturing their favourite songs to look at later, they’re living in the moment.

We’re greeted special guest Rob Swire of Pendulum for their collaboration track ‘Cannibal’ nearing the end of the set. Their set ends with favourites ‘Spit.’ and ‘Venom’, setting the crowd off once more to bring this memorable gig to a close.

Wargasm have outdone themselves with this gig. With a full video backdrop throughout their entire set and originality, who knows what they’re going to do next.
