Vocalist and guitarist Mykl Barton shares on the single, “Becoming aware of negative processes that were once subconscious, but still allowing them to rule. The persistent search for some chemical absolution for allowing the darkest parts of yourself to take the reins. Seeing the deep roots of these damaging, unsustainable coping mechanisms, but also still feeling a yearn towards them. The eternally aching dichotomy that’s been a constant my entire life.”
