French metalcore band Resolve have released a new single ‘Smile’ via Arising Empire, as well as releasing their album Human (Extended Cut).
Bassist Robin Mariat speaks on the track, “‘Smile’ is the most straight-forward love song… until it’s not. There’s obviously a gigantic gap in between this sound and Sandman’s all-in aggression, but our musical DNA is spread across these two ends of the spectrum. So it made perfect sense for us to have this track as the final release of the Human cycle, as it’s reminiscent of fan-favourite ‘New Colors’ or even ‘Ignite’, a deeper cut off the album.”
Talking on the release of the Human (Extended Cut) album, vocalist Anthony Diliberto comments, “All four of us are so proud of this Extended Cut version of Human. This release feels like the perfect testimony to the last year and a half spent bringing this album to life on the road and through additional content, which will now live on forever on a record.”
