If you’re a fan of contagious, glittery, fist in the air riffs then ‘Afterglow’ by As December Falls is definitely the kind of track you should be listening to.
Aside from being musically gifted, these guys are just so undeniably cool and this is reflected in their sound. The intro sounds like Danger Days era of My Chemical Romance with the drums and distorted guitar.
It’s energetic and arranged brilliantly. Vocalist Bethany Hunter has an incredible voice, at times sounding soft and melodic and at others sharp and powerful creating contrasts that work perfectly. Her voice ties in seamlessly with the other musicians. The rhythm section has impeccable timing and is exciting whilst the guitars create an unmistakably unique and edgy pop-punk sound.
‘Afterglow’ is a really great song as it is super rebellious which is a feeling we’ve all felt at some point in our lives.
